Two days prior to my adventure to Hop Bottom, they began predicting the storm. It started as a strong chance of rain, but slowly grew to ‘damaging winds’ and hail. The wedding was an outside affair on family property nestled deep into the hills of Pennsylvania, and directly in the path of the storm. I have known Kim and John for a long time and was really excited to shoot their wedding. I knew it would not be your average party. They had alpacas, horses, beards, rainbows, banjos, lemonade, strong drinks, friends and lots, and lots, of rain. The storm soaked Hop Bottom and the surrounding hills pretty good, but it waited until we were inside or under the tents and then moved on it’s way leaving an incredible rainbow and sunset. Sometimes the sun was shining, sometimes it was cats and dogs, but it sure was an incredible day. Be warned, it is a mega post.
