Almost every bride and groom’s greatest fear is rain. I remember when I got married—all I did was check the weather for two weeks straight leading up to the day. We all knew we were going to get hammered on Sam and Josh’s wedding day; we just didn’t know when.

We connected and talked through plans, umbrellas were bought, and I showed up an hour early at the amazing Elmwood Park Zoo. We did everything we could to stay ahead of the rain—but it came before we even made it outside! I told them that rain is just part of the story, and it always works out. Sam and Josh are an incredible example of rolling with the punches and taking things in stride. They met the rain with adventure and smiles, and it really paid off.
